….. The Death Chart …..

Enfin !

At Last! After months of work, I just finished my Death Chart! I tried to mix graphic design and anthropology and I’m so enthused with this idea that I’ll continue to develop it in other projects.
What you have here is a quite comprehensive and beautiful summary of what technically happens around the concept of Death: Some usual or interesting ways of dying, where does your soul go (if you believe in it), what happens to your body according to different cultures or periods of time (it’s very, very rich!) and other information, like the position or orientation of tombs, some short definition of Death by various points of view, etc.
The Death Chart is in English, and it will be soon available in French.
An extract will be published in the brand new magazine Amazing! for the next comics Festival of Angoulême, in January. As it’s a poster-to-read, it will also be available during this festival as a foldable poster-book, inside a dark, coffin-shaped envelope. The poster size is 50×71 cm. (approximately 20 » by 28 »), and its printed, deluxe version is available at my Cafepress shop for 23,5 Euros (16 pound, or 25 dollars). As Cafepress retains a huuuge commission on the price, it hasn’t turned out exactly cheap. So I can also suggest the downloadable file (JPG 300 dpi, print quality) for a « pay-what-you-want-princing », with a minimum of 3 dollars. You can then print it yourself, or even read it on screen.
